The growing appreciation for “Parents’ Worship Day” reflects an effort to safeguard Indian cultural values. With this objective, Pujya Sant Shri Asaramji Bapu initiated the tradition of observing February 14 as “Parents’ Worship Day” instead of Valentine’s Day. For this initiative, he deserves our deepest respect.

In India, there has been a long-standing tradition of honoring and greeting one’s parents; this is the unique specialty of our country and it must be sustained. I offer my best wishes that the celebration of ‘Matru-Pitru Pujan Diwas’ (Parents Worship Day) continues to grow.

Through the Matru-Pitru Pujan Diwas program, the spirit of Matru Devo Bhavah (Mother is God), Pitru Devo Bhavah (Father is God), and Acharya Devo Bhavah (Teacher is God) will be awakened in children and youth, fostering a deeper sense of respect toward parents.
